Introduction to Astanga Mysore : special class for Beginners

Join Eva during this special class for a practical and theoretical introduction to the Astanga Yoga Practice in the traditional method as taught by Sri K Pattabhi Jois - the so called Mysore-Style.

Ideal for all new students and anybody interested in trying out this challenging style of yoga, this 90+ minutes class will introduce the basic fundamentals for practice in this method.

Topics of the workshop will be:

-       History of Astanga Yoga
-       Basics of alignment, breath, relaxation
-       Key elements of Astanga Vinyasa Yoga
-       Understanding Ujjayi breath in theory and practice
-       Exploration of sun salutations and some key postures from Primary Series
-       Introduction to the "Mysore" style of practice

No previous experience of yoga is necessary; if you have already done some yoga before, this class will give you an experiential taste of the specific practice of Astanga Mysore. Ask us, if in doubt.

The class will be conducted in English by Eva Ugolini.

The cost of this special class is €15 (or free with your class card or membership).
