My passion for Yoga & Ayurveda started almost ten years ago whilst taking a course in Ayurveda-Yoga massage in Rome, my hometown. At that time I was working full time in a large corporate environment, realizing that there was something missing in my life.

During that first course, once I came in contact with the world of Yoga and Ayurveda, I immediately realized that healing touch would have been my path. I first experimented with some traditional Hatha Yoga and Pranayama, then I went to South India on a few trips to deepen my yoga practice and the Ayurvedic studies. There I had the chance to learn different techniques of Ayurvedic massage from well respected doctors, and to study yoga with great teachers. Through these journeys I could experience these disciplines as a way of life and as a way to establish a deeper contact with the various layers of my being.

Once back in Rome, I completed a two year Master in “Ayurveda massage and complementary techniques” (consisting of 300 hours of practicing and study of diagnosis techniques) given by “Atharva Veda Center” in cooperation with the "Center for Study and Research of Naturopathy and Ayurveda” of New Delhi, India. This is where I met Denis Sciannimanica, my first teacher and student of Lino Miele, who introduced me to the practice of Astanga Yoga.

It was love at first sight and since that day Astanga Yoga is part of my daily life, a tool for self-development and a mirror through which i can look at myself every day honestly. My passion for this wonderful practice made me travel around Europe taking part into several workshops with great teachers like Manju Jois, Clayton Horton and Gabriele Severini. I’m grateful to their teachings for having greatly influenced my practice, particularly in the areas of breath awareness, inner alignment and devotion.

At the beginning of 2009 I felt the need to change my life and I chose Amsterdam as the base for a new beginning. I started to work with Ayurveda in massage centers and yoga centers, sharing this profound science of living that encompasses the whole of life, individual and the universe. After a long search for an Astanga teacher, I could meet Madina Tanekeyeva and Claudia Pradella and started again to deepen my practice under their experienced guidance. In 2011 I completed a 200hrs Ashtanga Yoga Teacher Training in Eindhoven, given by Claudia Pradella and Janneke Verburg, and am very happy to start my teaching experience at Astanga Yoga School Amsterdam, where I can share my love, joy and devotion for this powerful style of yoga, which can transform our lives with extraordinary vitality and creativity on all levels.
